On a cold winter morning, Little Fox wakes to a world of white and decides to create something special: a magical ice lantern that glows with a warm light. Remembering his grandmother's story, he builds the lantern from ice and snow, adds a sprinkle of sparkly snow, and makes a wish for a night full of friends and joy. The lantern begins to glow, and Little Fox knows the light is meant to be shared.
As he pulls the lantern through the snowy woods, he meets Owl, Rabbit, and Bear Cub, each drawn to the warm glow. Together they head to a clearing, where the lantern's light turns the snow into a golden stage. They share berries, honey, and stories, and other woodland creatures join the celebration, bringing nuts and cake. The evening becomes a cozy gathering where everyone feels welcome and included.
The story teaches children the value of sharing, friendship, and community. Little Fox's lantern symbolizes the warmth that comes from generosity and togetherness. The gentle narrative and charming animal characters make it ideal for young readers, who will learn that the real magic lies not in the lantern's glow but in the connections we create with others.

A Passage from the Tale
The Fox's Snow Lantern Çınar BİBER
One cold winter morning, Little Fox woke up to a world of white. Snow covered the woods, and the air sparkled with frost. He pulled on his red knitted scarf and grabbed his brown satchel. 'What a perfect day for an adventure!' he said, stepping outside. His fluffy tail swished with excitement as he left tiny paw prints in the fresh snow. 1
Little Fox loved winter. He loved the crunch of snow under his paws and the way his breath made little clouds. He loved the quiet hush of the forest and the sparkle of icicles. But most of all, he loved finding ways to share warmth with his friends. Today, he wanted to make something special, something that would bring everyone together. 2
As Little Fox wandered deeper into the woods, he found a hidden pond. The water had frozen into thick, clear ice. 'Perfect!' he cheered. He remembered a story his grandmother told him about magical ice lanterns. If you build one with love and a little stardust, it can glow with a warm light that lasts all night. Little Fox knew just what to do. 3
Little Fox gathered blocks of ice, stacking them carefully into a lantern shape. He packed snow around the base to hold it steady. Then he added a sprinkle of sparkly snow on top. 'Now for the magic,' he whispered. He closed his eyes and made a wish for a night full of friends and joy. When he opened them, the lantern began to glow softly. 4
The glow grew brighter and warmer, like a tiny sun inside the ice. 'It worked!' Little Fox laughed. He placed the lantern on a small sled and pulled it through the woods. The warm light danced on the snow, making the trees sparkle. Little Fox knew this light was meant to be shared. He headed toward the clearing where his friends often met. 5
High in a tree, Owl was watching. Her huge golden eyes blinked in surprise. 'What is that lovely light?' she hooted. She put on her tiny blue woolen hat and flew down. 'Little Fox, your lantern is beautiful! May I help you share it?' Little Fox nodded happily. Together they walked, the lantern glowing brightly between them. 6
Soon they met Rabbit, who was carrying a basket of red berries. 'Hello!' she called, her long ears twitching. 'I saw your light from far away. It looked so warm and inviting.' Little Fox smiled. 'Come with us! We're bringing the light to the clearing for a winter celebration.' Rabbit hopped along, her green scarf bouncing with each step. 7
Next, they found Bear Cub, shyly peeking from behind a tree. He held a small wooden honey pot. 'I saw the light,' he mumbled, his yellow mittens clutched tight. 'Can I come too?' Little Fox trotted over and gave him a gentle nudge. 'Of course! Everyone is welcome.' Bear Cub's round face lit up with a warm smile. 8
The friends walked together through the snowy woods, following the lantern's glow. The light made the snow sparkle like diamonds, and the cold air felt cozy and warm. Owl flew ahead, guiding the way. Rabbit shared berries from her basket, and Bear Cub offered a taste of honey. Little Fox felt his heart swell with happiness. 9
When they reached the clearing, the lantern's glow spread across the snow, turning it into a soft, golden stage. 'Let's make a circle,' Little Fox said. They placed the lantern in the middle and sat around it, sharing berries, honey, and stories. The warm light danced on their faces, and laughter filled the cold night air. It was the coziest celebration ever. 10
Owl hooted softly. 'This light is special,' she said. 'It brought us all together.' Rabbit nodded. 'Sharing makes everything better.' Bear Cub, who had been quiet, spoke up. 'I'm glad I came. I was shy, but now I feel warm inside.' Little Fox looked at his friends. 'The lantern's glow is just ice and snow, but the real magic is sharing it with you.' 11
They spent the evening singing songs and telling stories. The lantern's glow seemed to grow brighter with every laugh. Other woodland creatures saw the light and came to join the fun. Squirrels brought nuts, and a family of mice brought crumbs of cake. Everyone shared what they had, and no one felt left out. The clearing became a little village of friends. 12
As the night grew deeper, the lantern's glow softened to a gentle shimmer. The friends sat close, feeling warm and happy. 'We should do this every winter,' said Rabbit. 'Yes!' everyone agreed. Little Fox smiled, his amber eyes shining. 'As long as we share, the light will always find us.' They all promised to meet again the next winter. 13
When it was time to go home, the friends said goodnight with hugs and waves. Little Fox packed up his satchel, now empty of treats, and pulled the lantern back through the woods. The glow lit his way, but he didn't need it—his heart was full of warmth. He knew that sharing had turned a cold winter night into a night of friendship and joy. 14
Back at his den, Little Fox placed the lantern by his window. It still glowed softly, a reminder of the wonderful evening. He snuggled under his blanket, his red scarf wrapped tight. 'Sharing creates community,' he whispered to himself. 'And community makes the coldest night warm.' He fell asleep with a smile, dreaming of next winter's celebration.
