Pip is a young seal pup with silver-grey fur, dark spots, and big brown eyes full of curiosity. He lives in a cozy bay where the water sparkles like diamonds, and every morning he slides over the ice and plays with the waves. One cold, crisp day he spots something unusual: a pure white snow goose whose feathers shimmer with icy blue sparkles and who wears a thin silver ribbon around one leg. Her name is Snowdrop, and she is sad and lonely because a sudden snowstorm separated her from her flock as they flew south for the winter.
Pip's kind heart gives a little thump, and he promises to help her find the others. Together they slide across the frozen bay, following feather-shaped marks in the snow. Along the way they meet a friendly Arctic hare named Hazel, a wise old walrus named Wally, a family of penguins, and a young polar bear cub named Bella, each of whom offers a clue or a word of caution. When the ice grows thin near the open water, Snowdrop's glowing wings light the way and Pip finds the courage to keep going, and at last a faint honking high above tells them the flock is near.
This gentle children's tale is about kindness, teamwork, and the courage it takes to help someone who is lost and afraid. Young readers learn that small acts of friendship can make a big difference, that asking others for help is a sensible part of solving a problem, and that careful steps are sometimes needed to cross difficult ground. The simple, warm language and the snowy polar setting make it well suited to being read aloud to younger children or read alone by early readers.

A Passage from the Tale
The Seal's Snowy Surprise Çınar BİBER
Pip the seal pup lived in a cozy bay where the water sparkled like diamonds. Every morning, he slid over the ice and played with the waves. His silver-grey fur was speckled with dark spots, and his big brown eyes twinkled with curiosity. One cold, crisp day, something strange caught his eye. A flash of white stood out on the ice, and Pip's whiskers twitched with wonder. 1
Pip waddled closer and saw a beautiful snow goose. Her feathers were pure white and shimmered with icy blue sparkles. Tiny snowflakes drifted from her wings like magic dust. Around one leg, she wore a thin silver ribbon. The goose looked sad and lonely. Pip's kind heart gave a little thump. He had never seen anyone like her before. 2
'Hello,' said Pip gently. 'I'm Pip. Are you lost?' The snow goose turned her bright amber eyes toward him. 'I'm Snowdrop,' she said softly. 'I lost my flock in the snowstorm. They flew away without me.' Her voice trembled. Pip smiled his friendliest smile. 'Don't worry,' he said. 'I'll help you find them. We can look together.' Snowdrop's eyes brightened with hope. 3
Snowdrop explained that her flock was flying south for the winter. They always stopped at the frozen bay to rest. But the storm had come suddenly, and she got left behind. 'They can't be far,' said Pip. 'We'll follow clues across the ice.' He looked around. 'Do you see anything that might help us?' Snowdrop pointed her orange beak toward some marks on the ice. 'Look there!' she honked. 4
Pip and Snowdrop slid over the frozen bay. Pip's round belly made a perfect sled, and Snowdrop's glowing wings helped them glide. They followed feather-shaped marks in the snow. 'My flock left these!' Snowdrop said happily. They passed ice hummocks and slippery slopes. Pip kept a lookout with his big brown eyes. 'We'll find them,' he promised. Snowdrop honked softly, feeling braver already. 5
Soon they met a friendly Arctic hare named Hazel. She was nibbling on a twig. 'Have you seen a flock of snow geese?' Pip asked. Hazel twitched her long ears. 'Yes! They flew over the hill just before the storm,' she said. 'But the wind was strong. They might have gone toward the big iceberg.' Snowdrop's heart raced. 'That's my flock!' she cried. Pip thanked Hazel and they hurried on. 6
As they slid around the iceberg, they met a wise old walrus named Wally. He was sunbathing on the ice. 'Excuse me,' said Pip politely. 'Did you see snow geese flying by?' Wally rubbed his whiskers. 'I did,' he rumbled. 'They were heading toward the open water. But the ice is thin there. Be careful.' Pip nodded bravely. 'We will,' he said. Snowdrop honked her thanks, and they moved on. 7
The ice grew slippery, and Pip had to be careful. Snowdrop's glowing wings cast a soft light on the way. 'I'm glad you're with me,' she said. 'I was so scared alone.' Pip smiled. 'That's what friends are for,' he replied. They slid past a family of penguins who waved their flippers. 'Good luck!' the penguins called. Pip and Snowdrop waved back and kept going, feeling warmer inside. 8
They reached the open water where the ice was thin. Pip's heart beat fast. 'I can't swim far in this cold,' he said. Snowdrop nuzzled him gently. 'My wings can glow brighter,' she said. 'I'll light the way.' She flapped her wings, and a soft blue light spread over the water. Pip felt braver. 'Let's go,' he said. Together, they crossed the thin ice carefully, step by step. 9
On the other side, they met a young polar bear cub named Bella. She was building a snow fort. 'Have you seen my flock?' Snowdrop asked. Bella pointed up. 'I heard honking,' she said. 'It came from over there, near the big snowdrift.' Pip's eyes widened. 'That's close!' he said. 'Thank you, Bella!' They hurried toward the snowdrift, their hearts full of hope. 10
Suddenly, they heard a faint honking sound high above. Snowdrop looked up and gasped. 'My flock!' she cried. A Vshaped flock of snow geese was flying across the sky. Their white wings sparkled in the sunlight. Snowdrop flapped her wings and honked loudly. 'I'm here! I'm here!' Pip cheered and waved his flippers. The flock circled lower, honking back. Snowdrop's eyes filled with happy tears. 11
The flock landed on the ice around Snowdrop. They nuzzled her with their soft feathers. 'We were so worried!' said the leader. 'We thought we lost you.' Snowdrop turned to Pip. 'This is my friend Pip,' she said proudly. 'He helped me find you.' The geese honked their thanks. 'You are a true friend,' said the leader. Pip's cheeks turned pink under his fur. He felt warm and happy. 12
Snowdrop untied the silver ribbon from her leg. 'I want you to have this,' she said to Pip. 'It's a thank-you gift from my flock.' Pip's eyes widened. 'But it's yours!' he said. Snowdrop smiled. 'I'll always remember you,' she said. 'And this ribbon will remind you of our adventure.' Pip accepted it gently, feeling very special. The geese gathered around them, honking softly. 13
It was time for the flock to continue their journey. Snowdrop hugged Pip with her wing. 'Thank you for being so kind,' she said. 'You welcomed me when I was lonely.' Pip waved his flipper. 'Goodbye, Snowdrop! Fly safely!' The flock took off, honking cheerfully. Snowdrop looked back and called, 'I'll never forget you!' Pip watched until they were tiny specks in the sky.
